My husband and I were wanting a healthier food option for dinner. We have a fitness competition in town and this was the perfect place! Everyone was very nice and the food was DELICIOUS! We both had the Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries! Definitely recommend and if we come back to town we will be returning

We got our 1st chance to visit & it's a good surprise. I liked the books, shirts, soap & other merchandise. It was also decorated very nicely. The staff is very friendly & take the time to explain the menu. They cook to order & you get your food in a timely manner. Everybody enjoyed their meals. We'll be back to try other items.

I have not tried anything else her yet but the Turkey Burgers are the bomb and the people are wonderful makes you feel like you at home with the family.

I recently dined at Sankofa Kitchen, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, offering a diverse and innovative vegan menu that satisfied even the most discerning palate. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. First time here, but let me start with this. I didn’t intend to eat here, found it online and decided to give it a try. I had the veggie burger which I can happily recommend. 9/10. The bread was whole wheat, veggies were perfect. Came with fries that I was told are made in house, they are like steak fries and very tasty. My lady had the turkey burrito in a spinach wrap that came with chips and salsa. Chips were great, salsa was on point. Not spicy at all, very fragrant of cilantro. Aside from the burrito falling apart, she loved the guacamole, beans cheese and the turkey, although it had a tad too much lettuce, overall 8.5/10. Now, the star of the show was their homemade hibiscus tea! My lady had the black tea hibiscus, I had the lemonade hibiscus. They were both phenomenal. 10/10! A little pricy for the size, but definitely worthy of a try!

Sankofa is a black owned business which has been a staple in the community for decades. Upon entering the restaurant you will receive a warm welcome as you approach the counter. Here’s your chance to feed your body and mind. Sankofa is the perfect neighborhood kitchen and bar for client meetings, solo or group dining and definitely the place to expand your mind over a wonderful meal. The healthy food options with affordable prices are much appreciated! If turkey is your thing, you’ll love their Turkey Burger! We loved the vibe, the food, the exceptional service and the location. Dining at Sankofa is a true experience.

Sankofa Kitchen & Bar at 4141 W Wheatland Rd, Dallas, TX 75237 Today I was blessed with the amazing Ms Fields who gave me a good understanding and history of this wonderful establishment. Family owned and operated for many years. They bring culture, consciousness and cuisine to this neighborhood and city. So many pictures here I wish I had in my own house. The vibe is definitely a place where you and your friends can come relax and enjoy a good meal. The music is always playing with a lot of culture, arts, crafts, t-shirts, oils and soaps to be purchased. I asked what are the most popular menu items and got them. We have a juicy turkey burger with fries, vegan nachos and a chicken burrito. To be honest this food is meant to be eaten on site when it is the most fresh. I got it all as a take-home and did not eat it until later in the day. Except I did chop down on that chicken burrito before I even left the parking lot it was delicious. This is the type of place that you need to come to and see if you fit the vibe. Please remember parking on the property is for this establishment only.
